Position the Filter Controls

From the Dashboard Detail page, in the right panel, you'll find a Control Position dropdown:

With the Control Position you can place the Filter Control Panel on the Top, Left, Right, or Bottom of your Slate. Selecting Hidden will remove the control panel—and your filters—from displaying on your Slate.

You'll notice on initial load that the Filter Controls appear and then collapse so they're out of your way. Clicking on the Controls toggle will reveal your controls.

Now you can position your Filter Controls in the best way for you!
